I believe that I have gained a lot through my research and the sharing of my information. I think that through interviewing people, I have gained more confidence in speaking with people that I may not even know. I have had to figure a lot of things out on my own while making my video. I had no idea how to add music or how to be able to type a paragraph into the slide, but I have learned how to while exploring the program. I think that one of the things that I learned that will help me in the sharing process is the confidence to talk to people I don't know. I believe that now I would be able to ask someone to watch my video or to share it with others. (I do not have a link. I am creating a video on Windows Movie Maker.)
ReplyDeleteI have learned a lot about both profiling, and sharing my research. I have learned the profiling process, a brief history of it, a few different strategies of profiling, and most of all, what it is really meant to do. Along with all of that, I have learned how to cite my work, change a power point into a movie, record narrations over your power point and so much more. I can only imagine how helpful this information will be the rest of high school and throughout college.

What I have gained from my research is knowledge about auras, what they are, what they mean and why its important to live a good life style. Also I found out how aura seeing was made. I learned a way to see auras. I also learned the colors of auras and their meanings. For my research project I decided to research how tumbling can effect my body. I have learned that it does have harmful effects on your body as well as a positive effect on your body. As a negative effect on your body there are injuries that come out from tumbling for a longtime. However to cancel that out there are ways to prevent your injuries by making sure your body is ready for what your gonna do.

When this research project began I had no clue what I was gonna do and how I was going to do it, The only thing I was able to use was Google docs. Now I can make blogs, websites, and upload videos to youtube. This process has allowed me to gain a better understanding of my area of interest and also given me new tools other than Google docs of spreading information.

I have learned a lot from my research, as expected. I have gained knowledge that has opened my mind to knew ideas and perspectives. I have found the answers i have been looking for and I am happy to have found it. Although posting something on facebook would be easier, I figured I won't get as many hits if it is only viewed by my friends who unfortunately and irrevocably do not share the same interest. I decided to post my information on a blog that was made specifically for open minded scientists who will gladly accept or distribute information.

During my more in-depth research on the Law of Attraction, I have learned and gained much more knowledge on this topic. I started studying this about two to three years ago, but I have never actually went deep into the subject. As expected I have learned much about my topic. After slightly changing my topic I quickly began learning about the dreaded abuse that our and many of Iraq soldiers have taken part in. Where prisoners are dehumanized, humiliated, beaten, starved and terrified. Not only are we not stopping this but many of our over powered, corrupted so called "heroes" actually take part in this cruel act. I've learned that there is no easy way to fix this problem which at the same time it is easy to let spread.

ReplyDeleteFrom my research I have gained a lot of knowledge on my topic of psychology and how the brain works. I've found many answers to my questions and now I just need to blend it all together for my final conclusion. I've also learned that spreading information has it's up and downs. It could be hard to share your ideas especially when age is limiting the interest of the topic but at the same time it's easy to share your information because the friends you have could re-post and their friends could re-post and before you know it you have 5x as more page views. As I've been researching my topic I've learned that dancers spend a lot of time in the studio practicing and practicing their routines. Dancers tend to adopt a type of style to separate them from non-dancers or from each other. Usually after rehearsal a dancer stays in the clothes they were dancing in either because they know that their is not point of changing because they know they will be back in a short amount of time or they just don't care. Normally you can tell what type of dancer the dancer is by what they are wearing. Dancers also require a lot of time, practice and patients. Being dancer can isolate you from a social life because you're so focused on your dancing. I have learned alot from my research on how basketball progresses you into adulthood. I have learned more in depth on how the mind advances into it's later stages. Because of the large amount of research this assignment required I learned quite a few things about my topic, Kinesiology, which is the study of human movement. Most of what I learned about involved the history of my topic, because of my research I learned that while Kinesiology is believed to be brought to public attention in the 1960's it has origins in Ancient Greece. I have also been introduced to many new ways to share my research, however I chose to do an Infographic because I liked the idea of an online flier, at this point in time however I do not have a link to share.

I did my research on a sleeping disorder, that has a terifying affect on people who expirences it. It's called Sleep Paralysis. I chosed this topic because I started haiving it when we started this unit, so I was wondering what it exactly is and really hopeing on finding answers to prevent it. I honestly hate this feeling of awkaking up and not able to move, its scary. You'll learn more about it, if you're not all familar to the topic, when presentations start next week. ReplyDeleteWhat I have learned from my research project is that one of the benefits with Lucid dreaming is that it could help reduce nightmares. Lucid dreaming also helps relieve stress. What I have learned with sharing my information with the world is that if you were to post it, let’s say on Facebook or twitter, your followers could then re-post your link on their wall which would then not only be seen by their followers but could then get re-posted again and then soon enough you have a chain of your link getting re-posted over and over. My video is still in the process of being completed which I would then post on YouTube.

Since we started this project I have learned a lot about both starting a Non-Profit Organization, and keeping up with a Non-Profit Organization. In order to share this information I have started a Blog on my day by day process of the start up process so people can keep up with me if they want, I have also created a website especially for information on my Non-Profit Organization. I have learned some history about a few Non-Profits like the Wounded Warrior Project and the Semper Fi Fund (a few of the Non-Profits that I got my inspiration from). I had also contacted Karen Guenther the founder of the Semper Fi fund and she gave me a few tips on what to do to start and keep up with my Non-Profit, and what I think that is the most important thing that I learned is what it is means to people to have a Non-Profit there to help them. With all of this and more, I can only imagine how helpful my Non Profit Organization will be.
